Ice Cream Scoop, Small, Spalted Tamarind

SpaltedTamarind

small,  2" x 1 3/4"

8" end to end

Rare due to all the spalting

Spalted Tamarind is a tropical fruit tree. When harvested, the wood is often left on the forest floor, where the warm, damp jungle environment allows natural fungi to penetrate the sapwood. As different fungal colonies grow and compete, they create hard microscopic barrier walls that form the permanent, striking black lightning-like lines.

It has been finished with a marine grade finish making it very water resistant and food safe.
