Private Events
Our workshop space in Olde Tollgate Village can be yours for a night. Not a corner of the shop, not a roped-off table. The whole room, after we close, with the door locked behind you.
You pick the music. You pick what is on the monitor. You decorate it however you want. Bring your own snacks and your own drinks, wine included. We are not going to hover and we are not going to hand you a rulebook.
You can add a candle pouring or tie-dye workshop to it, and most groups do. You do not have to. Sometimes people just want a room with some personality that is not a rented conference hall.
What it costs
| The space, 2 hours, no workshop | $150 |
| Candle pouring, per person | $35 |
| Tie-dye, per person, includes a short sleeve tee | $50 |
If we are running a workshop for you, the room is free. You just pay per person. So eight people pouring candles after hours is $280. Twelve people is $420. A tie-dye party for eight is $400.
Minimums. Workshops need at least eight people, whether that is candles or tie-dye. Booking the room on its own has no minimum at all. Five of you for a book club is fine. Two of you on an anniversary is also fine, and honestly it is a pretty great date.
Workshops cost the same per person as walking in during our normal hours. There is no markup for having the place to yourselves.
What comes with it
- Two hours of the space, just your group, no other customers
- Thirty extra minutes before your start time to decorate and set up, on us
- Control of the music and the store monitor
- Bring your own food and drinks. BYOB is fine
- Room for up to 18 people comfortably
- Us, if you want a workshop. We love running them
How it works
- Send us the request below with your date and roughly how many people.
- We get back to you within two business days and work out the details.
- We send an invoice. Fifty percent down holds your date.
- You show up thirty minutes early to set up. We unlock the door and get out of your way.
- The balance is due the night of.
How much notice we need
- Private event, no workshop: 3 days
- Candle pouring workshop: 3 days
- Tie-dye workshop: 7 days, mostly because we need everyone's shirt sizes before we can prep
Tighter than that? Ask anyway. We are a two person shop and we are pretty good at meeting people where they are. The worst we can say is that we could not make that one work.
What people use it for
- Birthday parties, kids and grown-ups both
- Girls' nights and bachelorette parties
- Team nights and small business meetups
- Book clubs, craft nights, and standing friend groups
- Baby and bridal showers
- Scout troops and school groups
- Anniversaries and date nights, when you want the whole shop to yourselves
