Purpleheart exhibits a truly magical color transformation. Initially appearing as a dull gray-brown when freshly turned, exposurer to air and natural sunlight quickly oxidizes the wood, revealing a vibrant, deep eggplant purple. Over the years, this hue gradually matures into a rich purplish-brown or dark berry tone.

Because it is exceptionally dense and rich in natural resins, Purpleheart can generate heat and smoke if wood working tools are not kept razor sharp. This results in a handle that is virtually indestructible.

Turning Purpleheart truly highlights Brian's outstanding skill and attention to detail.
